Perler Bead Color Refill Guide
Perler Bead Color Refill Guide
Color refills are one of the easiest ways to keep your fuse bead projects moving. Starter kits are useful, but certain colors run out much faster than others, especially if you make pixel art, characters, letters, borders, or icons.
The first colors most crafters should refill
- Black for outlines, eyes, shadows, text, and pixel art borders.
- White for highlights, backgrounds, shine, eyes, and contrast.
- Red, blue, yellow, and green for common characters, fruit, game sprites, and bright designs.
- Skin tones and browns for characters, animals, hair, food, and nature projects.
How many refill bags should you buy?
If you are placing your first order, start with black and white, then add one or two colors that match the projects you already want to make. If you are building a larger pixel art collection, keep extra neutral colors on hand so one missing color does not stop a project.
Mini bead refills vs regular bead refills
Make sure your refill size matches the beads and boards you already use. Mini beads are best for smaller, sharper pixel art; regular beads are better for larger, easier-to-handle projects.
Simple refill plan
Start with a kit, refill black and white first, then buy project-specific colors as you need them. Use code PIXEL10 for 10% off your order.
